Heidi Braun and Delphine Larrousse of the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) promote the Climate Change Adaptation in Africa (CCAA) research and capacity development program. Between 2006 and 2012, Canada will invest $15 million for the Climate Change Adaptation in Africa (CCAA) program through the International Development Research Centre. Canada and the UK jointly operate the CCAA program, which is designed to improve countries' abilities to adapt in ways that benefit the most vulnerable.

International representatives give a presentation on Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP), one of many international renewable energy initiatives that the Government of Canada is part of. REEEP is an active global partnership that works to reduce the barriers within policy, regulatory and financial structures that bar and limit the uptake of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies and projects.
